Bunny Amigurumi

Amigurumi is japanese and talking about amigurumis you talk about toys: crochet toys, knitted or sewn ones, stuffed plushies.
"ami" = knit and "gurumi" = wrap.

My first amigurumi was a bunny. I made it with a 3mm crochet hook and white softy cotton. I fill it with 'dacron' filler. My children loved it.

Next Pretty Scarf

I knit another scarf, because my friend asked me to make it. He wanted to give it as a present for her wife's birthday. But now I use some thicker yarn and 3.5mm knitting needle. Anyway, it was still pretty, even prettier than the scarf I made before.

Baby Socks

I & my friend wanted to crochet along. We searched patterns in the internet and decided to make a pair of baby socks.
It was so small, fit only for a newborn until 3 months old baby. But it was very cute, and my friends said so.

Pretty Scarf

My friend made a scarf and could not finish it, so she asked me to continue her work. The pattern was in Dutch style, include a hand-written graphical pattern. It was written by her knitting tutor.
At first I hesitated to receive her request, because the yarn was too thin and it used 2.5 mm knitting needle. I thought it was too difficult for me as a beginner in knitting. But I promise to try. I struggled with dropped yarns and the difficulty to follow the pattern, but finally I made it.
I finished in one month, and very satisfied, because the scarf was very pretty, wasn't it? :)
I wanted to make another one...

Cabled Shawl

I took the pattern of this shawl from a blog, and modified it myself. I used the same yarn with the shawl I've made before, and a set of 4mm knitting needle.
This was the first time I learned about cable knitting, so I was very satisfied because I could finished it.

Amanda Hat

I fell in love with a hat which called Amanda Hat, and decided to make one.
I modified the size, so it could fit for my daughter. She loved it very much. My son wanted to wear it too :).

Knitted Sling Bag

My daughter, Kasih, has learned how to knit. She started to knit a sling bag, with basketwave motive. She made the strap with finger knitting.
The sling bag can be filled with some small books. Kasih was very happy when she finished it.

Crocheted Backpack

After a while not doing crochet and knit, I started to make something. This time I made a backpack with a drawstring. With a 6mm crochet hook and a bulky yarn, I made it for my daughter, Kasih.

My Square

I love knit & crochet, but I am a little bit confuse when I have to match colours. It happened when I wanted to make squares. I couldn't make decision what colour match with others. But my friend encouraged me to use my favorite ones, and I did what she said. So, this was the results...
I hope I can make better next time.

(My Daughter) Learn to Knit

My daughter always watch me when I am doing knitting and crochet. Sometimes she asked me to teach her how to knit, but I thought it was too early for 6 years old girl to learn knitting.

I taught her yubiyami (finger knitting) that I learned from youtube, and she could master it quickly. But she didn't want to stop there, she wanted more..

One day, when I was watching a video about knitting on youtube, I watched on that video a 6 year old girl knitting something. I realised I was wrong for not allowing my girl to learn to knit.

I went to a yarn shop to buy some yarns, I also bought a set of bamboo knitting needle for my girl. Then I taught her the basic of knitting, how to make cast on, knit and purl. I didn't think she can master it quickly. Only in one day, she can knit a small handkerchief.

The result was not too perfect, but with little practice, I know she will master it well in a short time.

Neck Warmer

At first, I wanted to make a shawl for my self or my husband. I picked some thick yarn and started to knit it, with some pattern I've chosen.
In the middle of knitting process, I realised that the shawl was too wide and the yarn was too bulky. It would be too thick for a shawl. So I decided to make a neck warmer instead. I knitted two button holes and sewn two buttons in the place, then the neck warmer ready to be worn...

Shawl for Kasih

As a second knitting product I made in my 'learning how to knit' journey, I made this shawl. I got the pattern from a book, and modified it so it fit for my need.
In a lack of knowledge about knitting, I made this shawl and decided to finish it whatever the result.
After finishing with putting some tassels in each end of the shawl, I gave this shawl for my daughter. She loved it, and I was very glad I've made it.

Shell Tablecloth

I made this tablecloth from a pattern in Tatha Pang's book "Rajutan Untuk Pemula." This was my second finished project in 2007. As a beginner in crochet, I was very satisfied with this thing, because it proved that I am able to make something like this. ^_^

New Shrug for Kasih

This shrug was made for my daughter, Kasih. With 3mm crochet hook and softy cotton yarn, I made it as a trial of my big project, because I have never made a big project before.
I finished it in 2 months, but I didn't satisfy with the result. Nevertheless, my daughter liked it very much, and it made me a little bit happy.

Express Hat

I made this hat for my cousin's newborn baby. It took only 1 day to finish it. It was a bit small for my son, but seemed fit enough for a newborn baby. I was satisfied, because I could make another hat.
