Hoodie Sweater

My friend asked me to knit along with her, and we decided to make a hoodie sweater for our daughters. They were at the same age and also had the same size.

We found a pattern from www.redheart.com, and started to knit at early December 2009. The progress is not too smooth because of the different size of knitting needle and yarn we used from the needle and yarn suggested on the pattern. We had to convert the number of stitches to fit for our need.

Finally it's done! My girl was so happy to wear it.

Learn to Knit

I've never dream of crochet and knitting, but after a few times viewing crochet and knitting products and trying to practise it, I fell in love with this activity.
My knitting activity was beginning in the end of 2008. I learned how to cast on and make a knit and purl. It ended with frustration and feeling that I can't knit at all. Fortunately, my friend came and gave me two sets of knitting needle as a present. Then she taught me the right way to knit. After several times learned knitting, finally I can do some knit and purl.
My first project in knitting was a discloth. After that, I tried to make some things that can be worn like shawl and hat.
After a year of learning how to knit, I decided to continue this activity, as this has been a new hobby for me, and I really enjoy it.

Bunny Amigurumi

Amigurumi is japanese and talking about amigurumis you talk about toys: crochet toys, knitted or sewn ones, stuffed plushies.
"ami" = knit and "gurumi" = wrap.

My first amigurumi was a bunny. I made it with a 3mm crochet hook and white softy cotton. I fill it with 'dacron' filler. My children loved it.

Next Pretty Scarf

I knit another scarf, because my friend asked me to make it. He wanted to give it as a present for her wife's birthday. But now I use some thicker yarn and 3.5mm knitting needle. Anyway, it was still pretty, even prettier than the scarf I made before.

Baby Socks

I & my friend wanted to crochet along. We searched patterns in the internet and decided to make a pair of baby socks.
It was so small, fit only for a newborn until 3 months old baby. But it was very cute, and my friends said so.

Pretty Scarf

My friend made a scarf and could not finish it, so she asked me to continue her work. The pattern was in Dutch style, include a hand-written graphical pattern. It was written by her knitting tutor.
At first I hesitated to receive her request, because the yarn was too thin and it used 2.5 mm knitting needle. I thought it was too difficult for me as a beginner in knitting. But I promise to try. I struggled with dropped yarns and the difficulty to follow the pattern, but finally I made it.
I finished in one month, and very satisfied, because the scarf was very pretty, wasn't it? :)
I wanted to make another one...

Cabled Shawl

I took the pattern of this shawl from a blog, and modified it myself. I used the same yarn with the shawl I've made before, and a set of 4mm knitting needle.
This was the first time I learned about cable knitting, so I was very satisfied because I could finished it.
